The @ROMANSE team on Twitter has been keeping an eye on Portsmouth's roads following delays stretching from South Parade Pier up to the M275.

Eyewitness reports claim that an accident took place earlier this afternoon, while delays to the Wightlink ferry service built up delays in the south of the city.

According to @ROMANSE, the best route home is to drive through Hilsea, before heading onto Eastern Road if you need it.

The team tweeted: '˜Looks like going via Hilsea is your best route in, Eastern Road after that.'

Currently, the M275 is at a standstill, with traffic stretching from Southsea up towards North End.
