Finger is freed by Gosport firefighters after wedding ring got stuck
Firefighters had to cut the wedding ring off the finger of a woman after it became stuck.
Just after 11am on Saturday the woman, in her 50s, walked into Gosport fire station.
The ring finger on her left hand was badly swollen and, despite trying lots of different methods, she could not remove the wedding band from her finger and it was beginning to feel painful.
The firefighters used a simple cutting tool to free the woman’s finger.
