The Southsea crew were called to old naval base, off Fort Cumberland Road, at around 5.37pm today.

A resident living nearby said it was around the eighth fire to be started in the last two months at the building.

‘It has been a problem for a while but no-one is doing anything to deter people from starting these fires,’ he said.
