Huge delays on M27 after six-vehicle accident

DRIVERS heading westbound on the M27 from Fareham are expecting delays of about 45 minutes following an accident this morning.

A six-vehicle pile up on Junction 13 (Eastleigh) of the M3 has had a huge knock-on effect on south Hampshire’s main routes.

With traffic building on the M3 and the M27 westbound from Whiteley, it has to led to reports of 45 minute delays for drivers heading to Southampton from Junction 10 (Fareham).

The vehicles involved in the accident have now been cleared to the hard shoulder.

There are also reports of a 20 minute delay on the Eastern Road up to the A27 for drivers coming out of Portsmouth.
Drivers are warned to check their route before travelling this morning.
