Hunt for gang of youths who stabbed man in back near Hilsea train station '‹'‹'‹'‹'‹'‹

A MAN was attacked and stabbed by thugs as he left a railway station with his girlfriend at the weekend.Â

The victim, 24, and his partner were exiting Hilsea station on Sunday night when they were followed by a gang of '˜four or five' youths, police said. 

As the pair departed between 9.30pm and 10.30pm, the man was tripped up, fell to the ground and was punched and kicked by the group. He was also hit in the face with a belt.

Officers said he managed to get up and run away in the direction of Anchorage Road, before one of the youths chased him and stabbed him in the back as he reached the junction of Sywell Crescent in Anchorage Park. 

His condition is not known, but police have now released 10 CCTV images '“ linked in a gallery above '“ in a bid to track down the suspects. 

One is described as being a 5ft 6in-tall white boy between 15 and 16 years old, of a slim build, with light-coloured hair and '˜very light' facial hair. 

He was seen wearing a light-grey hoodie. 

A second is described to be a white boy of the same height, between 15 and 17 years old, of a '˜skinny' build, with dark-coloured hair and dark hair on his top lip.

Officers said he was seen wearing a dark-coloured, waist-length jacket with the hood up.
