Long delays on M27 this afternoon after crash

There are long delays for drivers on the M27 after a crash this afternoon.

Traffic is queuing on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway after the incident between junction 5 at Eastleigh and junction 7 at Hedge End.

Two lanes were initially blocked following the crash but both have now reopened.

According to traffic information service Romanse delays are going back to Rownhams Services, past junction 4.

There are also vehicles queuing back past junction 14 of the M3 southbound, which links onto the M27.

It is not known how many vehicles were involved in the incident, or whether there have been any injuries.

There were heavy delays on the M27 this morning near to Hilsea after an accident.
