Man treated for shock after getting stuck on Hayling Island mud flats
A man freed himself after he became stuck in mud on Hayling Island.
Crews from Cosham Fire Station were called out to the mud flats on Sweare Deep last night at around 11.30pm.
All three engines from the station attended the scene just north of the Langstone Hotel, Northney Road.
However, the man was able to rescue himself without any injuries, and was treated for shock at the scene by paramedics.
