‘Sadly the 36-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no indication that the other motorcycle was involved in the collision. Next of kin has been informed.

‘We will not be in a position to name the motor cyclist until formal identification procedures are completed.

‘We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the motor cyclists prior to the incident, in the Morestead area.

‘We would also like to hear from any motor cyclists that have rode along that route recently, who may have go pro footage of the road.

‘Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting Op Extract.’
