Motorcyclist hospitalised with serious leg injuries after van crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after he crashed into a parked van.

Emergency services were called to a collision on Frendstaple Road in Waterlooville at 11.53am this morning.

Police confirmed a male motorcyclist was taken to hospital after suffering a serious leg injury in the accident, in which he hit a stationary vehicle.

Officers blocked the road off while he was treated by South Central Ambulance Service – before a highways crew cleared the road of oil.

Traffic was diverted via Stakes Hill Road, before Frendstaple Road was fully reopened 1.30pm.

The News has contacted South Central Ambulance Service for an update on the man’s condition.
