Pensioner, in his 80s, injured in Waterlooville crash

Officers were called to London Road, near Hulbert Road, in Waterlooville.

Hampshire police said a pedestrian in his 80s was involved in the crash at 9.35am.

Witnesses saw the man laying in the road as police attended.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokesman said a specialist paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew were sent.

He said: 'The crews reported back that the pedestrian did not appear to have any obvious injuries but was being taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital for further assessment.'
