These pictures show the dramatic moment a campervan burst into flames on the M27.

Steve Ross was travelling between junction 7 and 8 as a passenger on Sunday morning when he spotted the smoke coming out of the vehicle.

He said: ‘As we came round the bend we saw a great big plume of smoke.

‘What was amazing was that the owner was stood right next to it as the smoke was billowing.’

A fire crew from Fareham helped deal with the blaze, which started just before 11.30am on the westbound route.

Nobody was injured.
