Pictures: Storm Imogen forces closure of Southsea seafront and Stokes Bay

Police tweeted saying Storm Imogen has forced the closure of the seafront with waves crashing over the sea walls.

The flood barriers are closed from the Esplanade, near the Tenth Hole, all the way past the Blue Reef Aquarium towards the arcades.

Officers are warning people to be careful while in the area.

Hampshire County Council said that Stokes Bay in Gosport had also been closed because of dangerous conditions.
