Police seek man wanted for recall to prison

Police have confirmed they are searching for a man with Chichester connections who is wanted for recall to prison having breached the conditions of his release licence.

In a statement, Sussex Police said: “Robert Bridges, 46, who is white, 6ft, and of medium build with brown hair and blue eyes, had been released from Lewes prison on October 4 part of the way through a two month sentence for theft imposed at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on September 7. However the Probation Service require his return to prison for breaching his release conditions.”

“He has connections in Chichester and Bognor, and also in the Thurrock, Aveley and South Ockendon areas of Essex, as well as in the E1 area of the East End of London.

“Anyone who sees Bridges or knows where he may be is asked not to approach him but to contact police via 101 or 999, quoting Sussex serial 567 of 11/10.
