Power surges in Gosport prompt closure of leisure centre's pools
SWIMMING pools at a leisure centre were temporarily closed yesterday following a number of electrical power surges in Gosport.
Gosport Leisure Centre, in Forest Way, Gosport, posted on Twitter that it was forced to shut the facilities around 3pm yesterday.
Centre bosses said the pools would be closed until 4pm due to the power fault.
An update message was then posted saying that the pools were back up and running shortly after – and that the public would be kept up-to-date should any other problems arise.
