The A34 northbound had been closed for around an hour following the collision this afternoon.

All lanes between the M3 junction 9 near Winchester and the A33 near Kings Worthy have been re-opened.

Police and other emergency services were at the scene.

Lengthy delays of around 25 minutes remain on surrounding roads.
