Two people are believed to have been hurt after an '˜explosion' in Horsham town centre this morning.

He said: ‘I heard an almighty explosion which shook the windows of the shop.

‘We went out to have a look and see what was going on. There was a huge commotion and two people were injured.’

He said people were pouring water over a woman and a man.

He added: ‘It was all a bit of a panic. The stallholders were all pretty shaken up.’

Simon Teesdale, who runs the market on behalf of Horsham District Council, said that investigations into what had happened were still ongoing.

‘I’m not 100 per cent sure about what happened yet,’ he said.

‘It’s still being investigated. I know that an ambulance was called and that one of the traders was slightly hurt by an explosion of some sort.’

He said that he thought that there were no serious injuries.
