Update: A3 northbound likely to remain closed for hours
An accident near the Hindhead Tunnel caused long delays on the A3 northbound today.
A section of the road was shut after one person was reported trapped in a vehicle following the early-morning crash close to Old Portsmouth Road at Thursley.
Queues were reported back to Liphook as drivers were warned to expect delays of up to an hour.
At 8am, Hampshire Police said that the northbound section of the road was likely to remain closed for around two hours.
