Simon West, a lorry driver from Medina Processing in Wickham, was one of the first drivers to arrive after the crash.

‘By the time I got here, there were three cars here and the crash had just happened,’ he said. ‘The ambulances were here very quickly - they were fast and very good.’

A police spokesman said: ‘Two motorbikes collided head-on. Both riders are injured, one more seriously than the other.’
