UPDATE: Lanes reopened on M27 after crash causes huge hold-ups
All lanes have reopened on the M27 after a crash caused long delays today.
The accident shortly before 8am involved several vehicles.
It happened on the eastbound carriageway near Junction 5 for Southampton Airport shortly before 8am.
One car ended up underneath another in the collision in the outside lane but there were no reports of serious injuries.
Queues soon built up back to Junction 3 of the motorway and on the M3 southbound.
Traffic also built up on westbound approach to Junction 5.
