UPDATED: Man suffers minor injuries following five-vehicle crash on M27

The M27 has re-opened following a traffic incident earlier this morning.

The crash, which involved five vehicles, blocked all three lanes on the westbound carriageway of the M27 at around 6.30am.

The incident occurred on junction 5, near Southampton Airport. South Central Ambulance service were called to the crash, where they treated one man at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash caused long rush-hour tailbacks on the westbound carriageway, with commuters facing delays of up to one hour and 45 minutes.

All lanes on the westbound carriageway are now open, and traffic is flowing normally again.
