VW driver cut from car after HGV crash in Portsmouth

A MAN had to be cut free from his car after it was hit by a lorry.

The collision took place at Portsbridge Roundabout, in Hilsea at about 3.40pm today.

The car driver, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital. The HGV driver is believed to be unhurt.

Firefighters from Cosham and Southsea had to cut the roof off the VW Passat. The incident was over by 4.45pm.
