Woman is rescued after crash in Waterlooville

A WOMAN had to be rescued by firefighters following an incident in Waterlooville this evening.

Firefighters from Waterlooville and Cosham were called to Hambledon Road just after 5pm today, after reports of a road traffic collision.

Crew manager Simon Bone from Cosham Fire Station said: ‘We had one female trapped in a car - we did a roof removal and extraction from the vehicle.

‘She was then passed over to South Central Ambulance Service for assessment.

‘It was just the one vehicle involved but we had a rescue vehicle and three pumps from the two stations in total and were there for about an hour.’

The condition of the woman is currently unknown.
