Woman who died in Petersfield lorry crash is named

A WOMAN who died after being in collision with a lorry has been named.

Yogalakshmi Sinnaiah, 58, from Liss, died following a collision with a lorry in Dragon Street, in Petersfield.

The collision happened on a pelican crossing.

The incident happened shortly before 2pm last Tuesdayand she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed off for several hours as officers conducted a forensic examination of the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and officers would like to hear from any witnesses.

‘Did you see what happened? Did you see the vehicle before the incident happened?’

Anyone with information is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting Op Security.
