Trampoline event raises funds for heart charity
The schools club sold tickets to university students for several weeks for them to attend the hour-long event with the focus on exercise, a healthy heart and body and how this can be enhanced by just bouncing for an hour a week.
The evening raised more than £200 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Hide AdSchools club owner, Michael Whitelock, said: ‘We sold the full amount of 75 tickets with £2.50 from every ticket going to BHF. This has been made possible by Flip Out offering a reduced rate for our event which has helped dramatically.’
The university’s gymnastics and trampoline club president, Chelsie Williamson, thanked everyone who helped with the event.
Paul Papadatos, co-owner of Flip Out Portsmouth, said: ‘We have been working closely with the Portsmouth Schools Trampoline Club.
‘We had loud music and the lights dimmed for our first after-dark event.’

Hide AdNeil Jarrett, BHF fundraising manager for Portsmouth, said: ‘We never cease to be amazed by the extraordinary ways people like Portsmouth Schools Trampoline Club and Portsmouth University Gymnastics and Trampoline Club, with Flip Out Portsmouth, fundraise for the BHF.
‘Every contribution, big or small, plays a crucial part in every breakthrough we make so we are incredibly grateful for their support.
‘But we urgently need more people to join our fight for every heartbeat and help power our lifesaving research. That’s why we’re calling on everyone across the UK to raise funds your way to help support our vital work.’
The club wants to make this an annual event and has scheduled another trampolining event tonight at Flip Out’s indoor arena to raise money for equipment for all the clubs.
