Chickens descend onto M27 as police fly into action to avert danger

CHICKENS have descended onto the M27 – with police flying into action to carry out a rescue operation.

The incident took place around 4pm at junction 2 eastbound just after the entry slip on the hard shoulder.

Hampshire County Council’s live Twitter feed Romanse urged motorists to ‘take care on approach’ with traffic officers moving to the location to clear the stranded chickens.
