Cyclist and motorcyclist both in hospital after serious collision in Portsmouth

TWO people are in hospital after a collision on a Portsmouth road last night.

Police were called to Portsdown Hill Road last night at 8.35pm to the incident that has left a cyclist with life threatening injuries and a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

A police spokesman said: ‘We were called at 8.35pm to a serious collision between a motorcycle and a pedal cycle on the B2177 Portsdown Hill Road, Portsmouth.

‘The cyclist was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries.

‘The motorcyclist was treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital for serious injuries.

‘If you have dash cam footage or any other information about this incident, please call us on 101 quoting 44200044485.’

The road was closed between Farlington Avenue and Crookhorn Lane while emergency services dealt with the incident.
