Driver, 64, crashes Citroen Xsara into Rowans Hospice charity shop in Southsea

A DRIVER has crashed into a charity shop after suffering a suspected medical episode.

The 64-year-old has been taken to hospital after crashing a Citroen Xsara into the Rowans Hospice shop in Marmion Road, Southsea, at 12.48pm, police said.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman confirmed the crash had caused some damage to the Purbrook-based charity’s building.

She said: ‘The driver has been taken to hospital by ambulance, this is believed to have been a medical episode.’
