Overturned vehicle on M27 causes two lanes to be closed

AN OVERTURNED vehicle on the M27 has seen two eastbound lanes closed, with emergency services at the scene.

The eastbound lanes were closed between junction 8 at Bursledon and junction 9 at Park Gate at 12:40pm.

The second lane of the road was reopened 30 minutes later.

Police attended the scene alongside an ambulance crew and firefighters from High Town fire station.

The fire station posted a message on Twitter, saying: ‘#Whitewatch on P7 & P4 have just attended an rtc (single car rollover) on the #M27...thankfully just minor injuries.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called just before 12.30pm to a report of a vehicle overturned between junctions 9 and 9 of the M27.
