Sports car driver, 58, seriously injured in crash with tractor on Hampshire country lane

Emergency services, including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, were called to the incident in Poles Lane, outside Otterbourne Golf Course, at 12.30pm on Saturday.

The driver of the red MG B sports car was taken to Southampton General Hospital. He suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The tractor’s driver was uninjured.

Police believe a small dark coloured vehicle overtook the tractor, heading towards Hursley, just before the collision.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘Officers making enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision are keen to speak to the driver of the small dark coloured vehicle.’
