Trapped horse prompts rescue by three fire crews

FIREFIGHTERS from three Hampshire stations were called in after a horse's leg became stuck underneath a horse transportation box.

The incident took place in the village of Droxford, north of Fareham.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue’s animal rescue advisor was also there, and the crews, from Droxford, Lyndhurst and Overton worked for more than two hours to free the animal.

After crews finally managed to release the horse, the animal was handed over to veterinary staff for medical treatment.
