Long delays on major road after two parked vehicles obstruct traffic

Have your say

IT’S a full house! For the first time in eight years all five of Portsmouth International Port’s berths were in use at the same time.

The snap was taken at 8.30am on Wednesday, and three of the ships pictured belong to Brittany Ferries.

The Normandie and the Bretagne are side-by-side in berths three and four, and the twin hulls of the Normandie Express are just visible as it waits in berth one, on the right-hand side.

In berth two is boutique cruise ship the Minerva, which was waiting to take passengers on to Oslo.

The final ship, in berth five on the left-hand side of the photograph, is the Commodore Clipper, which takes freight and passengers to the Channel Islands.

A port spokeswoman said: ‘It was a beautiful but busy day at Portsmouth International Port.’
