AIRLINE passengers faced disruption last night after an IT glitch resulted in extended queues at immigration desks.

Lengthy queues formed at airport terminals across the country because of a fault on UK Border Force computers that afternoon.

Extra staff were drafted in to try to reduce the queues.

However, journeys from Southampton Airport were unaffected. Adrian Cameron, the airport’s duty manager, said: ‘I am very, very pleased to say that there has been no disruption with regards to the IT issue.’
