Long delays on major road after two parked vehicles obstruct traffic

Have your say

POLICE have made a fresh appeal for witnesses after a crash that killed a 79-year-old woman.

Hilda Cubberley, from Wickham, was a front seat passenger in a red Rover when it collided with a grey Volvo V40 on the southbound A32 at Droxford, just before 5.50pm last Friday.

Officers now want to find the occupants of several cars travelling close to the scene of the crash.

These drivers will have passed the crossroads for Midlington Hill on the left and Cutts Arch on the right.

Shortly before the crash, it is thought a group of three or four cars passed the junction travelling towards Droxford.

Officers say people in those cars might have seen a car waiting at the Midlington Hill junction.

This crossroads has signs for Soberton and has a large flint wall the junction.

Anyone with information should call Sergeant Rob Heard at Eastleigh police station on 101, quoting operation Hansen.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
