A GROUP of apprentices at Gosport’s Vector Aerospace, Fleetlands, have been honing their people skills by taking a group of disabled people to Gunwharf Quays for the day.

The nine aeronautical electrical apprentices took out eight people from the Hexagon Centre in Southampton.

Final-year apprentice Jerome Snow said the aim was to show the group the Spinnaker Tower and the outlet centre, as well as be a character-building exercise for the apprentices.

Mr Snow, 27, said: ‘This is something people wouldn’t normally do.

‘It went really well and I think everyone had a good time. We have to say a big thank you to Gunwharf Quays for being so accommodating.’
