BUS company Stagecoach has launched a new Twitter account to keep passengers up-to-date in real time.
The account, @StagecoachSouth will prove vital for answering real-time questions about bus times, service updates and promote special offers, across West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and Brighton.
The customer service team, based in Chichester, will field all enquiries by the social networking account in addition to phone, email and online.
Managing director, Andrew Dyer, said: ‘Our Winchester depot had such fantastic success with @StagecoachWinch, that we are confident the public will embrace this new way to engage with us.
‘New innovations in technology and social media will continue to play an important role in attracting even more people on to our greener, smarter bus services.’
