PARTS of a car park will be cordoned off while repainting work is carried out.

Workers will redo the bay markings and direction arrows in the Lysses Car Park in Fareham.

The work takes place tomorrow, next Monday and Tuesday.

Councillor Trevor Cartwright, the Fareham councillor in charge of public protection, said: ‘Fareham Borough Council is working in partnership with the contractors to minimise any disruption and ensure the work is completed as soon as possible.

‘The improvements will depend on the weather.’

The repainting work will be carried out in three phases.

The bottom section will be repainted on Thursday, the middle section on Monday and the top section on Tuesday.

Each will be coned off the night before and during the works. The rest of the car park will stay open.
