A 53-YEAR-OLD man needed to be cut free from his car following an accident.

The driver of a Peugeot, a female aged 51, drove into the back of a Citroen C4.

The incident happened outside Cosham fire station, Wayte Street, Cosham, at around midday yesterday.

One crew from Cosham and a second from Havant helped free the man, before he was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, by ambulance.

The female driver was treated at the scene.
