TWO men were taken to hospital after the Land Rover they were travelling in veered off the highway and into a cornfield.

Firefighters were called to the incident in Froxfield, near Petersfield, at 11.30pm yesterday.

Two crews from Petersfield’s retained station and a third crew and the special equipment unit from Cosham freed the men from the vehicle.

The firefighters used hydraulic lifting gear to get the men out, before they were taken to hospital for treatment.
