A CAR park in Portsmouth will be closed for three days for a ‘spring clean’.

The Isambard Brunel multi-storey car park, in Isambard Brunel Road, in the city centre, will be closed from Friday at 6pm until Monday at 6am for the clean.

The surface car park on Isambard Brunel Road, and the multi-storey car park at Greetham Street, will both be open as usual.

Michael Robinson, a Portsmouth City Council parking manager, said: ‘Twelve offenders cleaned the walls as part of their community payback. They’ve done a great job.

‘Now, a specialist cleaning company will come in with scrubbing equipment on the floors, which will make a significance difference.’
