A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after he collided with a van at a busy road junction in Portsmouth.

The 24-year-old was on his bike at the junction of Northern Road and Portsmouth Road, in Cosham, when he collided with a red Ford van.

The man, who is from Havant, suffered concussion and was treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

Police say the driver was a 41-year-old man from the local area. Anyone who saw the incident, which happened on Wednesday, January 30, should contact police on 101.
