A CYCLIST has been left injured after being hit by a passing vehicle which failed to stop.

The 51-year-old man was riding southbound on the A32 between Warnford and Corhampton when he was overtaken by a car towing a horsebox.

The rear of the horsebox clipped the cyclist causing him to fall at around 11.50am on Sunday, September 9.

PC Steve Wootton, from the Fratton Roads Policing unit, said: ‘The cyclist, who is from Waterlooville, suffered minor injuries and was seen by ambulance crews but not taken to hospital.

‘The unknown vehicle failed to stop.

‘It was a blue car towing a grey horsebox.

‘I’d like to hear from anyone who may have spotted the vehicle on the A32 heading to Corhampton around that time.’

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Wootton at Fratton police station on 0845 0454545 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
