DELAYS were caused during the evening rush hour around the city centre after a two vehicle crash left one person needing hospital treatment for a chest injury.

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary were called to the scene just after 4pm along with a crew from South Central Ambulance Service.

One car and one van were involved in the incident at the junction of Commercial Road and All Saints Street.

One of the drivers left the scene before officers arrived.

The other was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham by ambulance.
