A WOMAN who was on her way to pick up a bridesmaid’s dress for her sister’s wedding was killed in a crash when a nail punctured her tyre and sent her vehicle into the path of another car.

Alison Kelly, 29, from Waterlooville, died just 10 days before she was meant to follow sister Caroline down the aisle after the discarded nail punctured the back tyre of her car as she drove along the A355 in Buckinghamshire, Mail Online reported.

The riding enthusiast had not been wearing a seat belt. An inquest ruled the discarded nail ‘played a significant part’ in the fatal crash, which occurred at 6.30pm on August 25.
