THE disruption caused to motorists on the A27 during the Battle of Britain 75th anniversary event was highlighted at a council meeting.

Last month saw a flypast of iconic aircraft from the Goodwood estate, near Chichester.

But at a full West Sussex County Council meeting Councillor Simon Oakley said it did not appear measures similar to those for other Goodwood Estate events, such as Festival of Speed and Revival, were put in place to mitigate traffic impact.

Councillor John O’Brien, who heads transport in West Sussex, stressed that it was a ‘one-off event’ and said lessons would be learned from the experience.
