A 74-YEAR-OLD woman was taken to hospital after her car flipped over in a residential road in Portsmouth.

The woman was freed from her black Honda car by fire crews and paramedics after it ended up on its head in Doyle Avenue, Hilsea, at around 8.10pm last night.

Two crews from Cosham fire station were called to the scene.

Hampshire Constabulary said the driver had collided with a white BMW and a grey Peugeot before her car flipped over.

She was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital as a precaution because of her age.

The road was closed off while the services worked to free her from the vehicle.
