FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a woman from her car after she was injured in a collision.

The accident happened at the junction of Petersfield Road and Bedhampton Way, Havant, at 8.10am.

Two vehicles, a Citroen C3 driven by a man, and a Peugeot 206, driven by a woman, collided.

The woman complained of pain in her neck and paramedics called firefighters to cut her from the vehicle as a precaution.

Police closed the road while the crews from Cosham and Havant removed the roof to get her out.

She was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with minor injuries.

The junction was reopened at 9.30am and police say no one has been arrested and the matter is being treated as an accident.
