FIREFIGHTERS were called to help recover a car after it overturned on the A27.

The car turned over at about 11pm on Friday and blocked both lanes of the westbound sliproad near the Farlington roundabout.

The driver of the car managed to crawl out from the wreckage before firefighters from Havant fire station arrived.

The driver was uninjured but was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham as a precaution.

Firefighters turned the car back over and made the area safe when they arrived.

The road was reopened shortly afterwards.
