A DRIVER had to be cut from her car after a collision on a slip road.

The woman was cut from her Mercedes after the accident took place on the road from the Eastern Way down to Delme roundabout in Fareham.

Two crews from Fareham fire station were called to the scene at about 11.25am yesterday.

Watch manager Mark Ryder said: ‘We had to perform a roof removal, and although her injuries appeared to be slight we had to remove her on a board with the help of the ambulance service and she was taken to hospital.’

In a separate incident, a Citroen Saxo collided with a lamp post after losing control at a roundabout.

Fareham firefighters attended the scene on Whiteley Way in Whiteley at 1.20pm yesterday to make sure it was safe.

Both men in the car were taken to hospital but their injuries were not believed to be serious.
