A MAN has been taken to hospital following a crash in Gosport.

Police and ambulance services are at the scene of the collision between a car and a motorbike on Stokes Bay Road and Jellicoe Avenue.

The road was closed by police at about 9am this morning and remains shut.

A spokeswoman from South Central Ambulance Service confirmed that the driver of the car was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, with possible neck injuries.

She added that the motorcyclist is still being treated on-scene and the air ambulance was standing by along with another ambulance.

It is unclear when the road will re-open.
