A poll has shown a big majority in favour of improvments to the roads layout in Portsmouth city centre.

We launched the online survey after widespread criticism of changes made to accommodate park and ride buses heading south along Mile End Road.

There were long queues stretching back along the M275 over the Christmas period.

Our online poll asked: Does the road layout in Portsmouth city centre need improving.

Of 1,034 respondents, 91 per cent said yes, with 9 per cent saying that no improvement was necessary.
